JOB: HVAC Technician
We are currently looking for a HVAC Service Technician to serve as an integral part of our company by providing safe and reliable service to our customers’ appliances.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Installs, services, modifies, rebuilds, and repairs air-conditioning and equipment in a residential establishment in accordance with safety regulations.
- Performs periodic inspection to locate and determine cause of equipment malfunctions
- Conducts maintenance program to prevent failure of such equipment as centrifugal compressors, electrical controls, evaporative condensers, pumps, fans, and heating equipment
- Charges air-conditioning systems with refrigerant; checks and tests for leaks; sets and adjusts controls and regulators
- Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork overhauls equipment.
- Provide superior customer service and strive to achieve zero service related customer complaints and bill customers for services rendered and account for funds and inventory which includes operating a handheld terminal, maintaining a trip report and documenting system testing and related information.
Skill Requirements
- Effective diagnostic skills on residential A/C systems, Heat Pumps, Gas furnaces and boilers, Oil furnaces and boilers.
- Provide superior customer service to customers All The Time – Every-time
- Focus on the proper repair for the customer
- Perform annual maintenance and service for new Installation Customers
- Represent Attilio Plumbing, Heating & Cooling in a professional, intelligent, and confident manner
- Pressure testing and leak checking, using nitrogen, trace refrigerant, electronic leak detector or soap-and-water solution.
- Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, voltage, amperage and capacitance using electrical test equipment.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Discuss HVAC system solutions and improvements with clients to insure 100% client satisfaction.
- Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning equipment, or charging and recovering refrigerants as needed.
- Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats and other air conditioning accessories.
Qualifications:
- Min 5 years’ experience in HVAC service.
- Completed HVAC Certification
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
- Must be a good team player
- Experience installing troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC equipment
- Good customer service skills
- Computer literate
- Good work ethic
- Willing to work overtime
- Plumbing Experience is a plus
